This is a video from Helsinki shot by my grandfather during his business stay in Finland. I guess that the video was shot 1969-1975. If you can see anything what would point out the correct year, please let me know. Sorry for mirroring, my phone beeps, this was my first try to digitize the short film. Enjoy, comments welcomed!
Quick visit to Helsinki. All clips in this video has been shot by Nokia E7 mobile phone camera. I shot this video mainly to test my new Nokia E7-phone. I first intended to also combine and edit clips by the video tool of Nokia E7 but since it supports only 32 clips (and I shot over 150...) this video was edited on computer by Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.
seemed to bee a film crew shooting an ariel shot of the spectacular Lutheran cathedral in Senate square downtown Helsinki (by the harbour with the15cm thick frozen see ice!) are drones the western police force of the future? they are now appearing in english speaking lands (theyre no longer just used for killing foreigners in oil and mineral rich mountainous regions in arabic sounding countries). armed with a camera, loudspeaker and a gun who needs a friendly 'bobby on the beat' anymore?
Look at the man with a bag coming in to the shop! I was put this video out so more people will share it and hopfull someday a friend will see or maybe himself what kind of guy hi is! So please share it more at https://www.facebook.com/Check-in-shop-324213164448470/
Filming one finnish TV show called Kuninkaalliset häät.

Very bad visibility 'cos of sun. Almost one car hits the bus - not shown in the video. Recorded 13th of August 20:40. Helsinki, Ruoholahti. Bus number 109T, I guess it should go though Lauttasaari, but turned by mistake to the motorway. Not very wise way to correct it.

http://bookinghunter.com Helsinki is the capital and largest city of Finland. Helsinki is spread across a number of bays and peninsulas and over a number of islands. The inner city area occupies a southern peninsula, which is rarely referred to by its actual name Vironniemi. The most important places to visit in Helsinki are: Helsinki Cathedral (one of the most iconic landmarks of Helsinki. A neoclassical styled 19th century church, it is a must see for all visitors), Suomenlinna Island (short ferry ride from Helsinki, it has an imposing 19th century fortress. The site is on the UNESCO world heritage list), Uspenski Cathedral (built in 1868, it is Western Europe's largest Orthodox church. Russia's influence is evident in it is red façade), National Museum of Finland (located in a gorgeou...

Heading back to Finland - and specifically Helsinki - was our greatest surprise this summer. As the capital city, it has the attractions any big city offers, yet it somehow retains plenty of small town charm. One of the main reasons is that you're never far from nature. Hop on a bicycle or kayak and you within a few kilometers you'll feel as though you're all alone at one with nature. Travel video about destination Helsinki in Finland. Helsinki, the Daughter of the Baltic, the Gibraltar of the North, a dividing line between east and west and a modern and liberal minded metropolis. Founded in 1550 by Swedish king Gustav I as a as a trading centre and in 1812, Csar Alexander I made it the capital of the Principality of Finland. The Senaatintori is located in the centre of the city. The square is dominated by a monument and surrounded by a number of fine Neo-Classical buildings. Csar Alexander II included public, ecclesiastical and academic buildings in the square, including government offices, a cathedral and university. Uspenski Cathedral is situated at the city's southern harbor and is the largest Russian Orthodox church in both western and northern Europe. Built in 1...

The fascinating capitals of Finland and Estonia offer a chance to sample each country's history, art, and distinct love of life. We'll start in Helsinki with its Neoclassical old town, modern flair for design, and steamy saunas. Then it's just a two-hour boat ride to Tallinn — with its medieval charms and newfound prosperity — celebrating its freedom and thriving in its post-USSR renaissance. © 2010 Rick Steves' Europe

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a small gem to be discovered and because of its size and the surrounding areas it can be easily visited by feet. If you want to see the city at its best then you’ve to go in spring or summer when people go for a picnic in the parks, dine on the terrace and hopping from one event to another. Food plays a great role in the city with Michelin stars’ restaurants together with street food all over the place, cafes and more to discover. Helsinki Travel Guide - Now is the time to come to Helsinki, and it is not only us who think that. Travel and Leisure Magazine, and TripAdvisor among others recommend Helsinki as a travel destination. The Finnish Travel Magazine Mondo voted Helsinki as the Destination of Indulgence in 2014. Here's why: Helsinki has become the city of choice for good living in the past few years. New shops, restaurants, cafés and fun events such as Restaurant Day, when residents open their kitchens to the city, offer great entertainment for residents and visitors. The Culture Sauna deserves a special mention: Where else on this planet can you sit in a steam room looking out at the bright lights of the city?.
